Note 1: Despite the largely different appearance of Oncidium
insigne, it seems to be just an aberrant recessive form of Coppensia
varicosa. Crossings with C. varicosa reverted to the
dominant form in both cases, either having O. insigne as a
father or as a mother, furthermore it just can be found on same spots
where there are large populations of Coppensia varicosa.
Note 2: The species described as Oncidium
euxantinum has a slight diferent callus, but as those plants are
always found mixed with other plants of Coppensia varicosa, it
obviously is just an ordinary morphologic difference as any other that
can be found in any large group of individuals.
